We are very pleased to welcome you to Juniper Intermediate School, the home of the Eagles.  2010 - 2011 will be a great year - full of learning, enjoying school activities, and developing life-long friendships.

Students, your teachers are here to provide you the education necessary to be successful in high school and beyond.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding your education, please let us know.  We are here to assist you!  Remember that it is vital for you to attend school daily and on time.  Your academic and personal success depends on daily attendance. Remember too, that we expect Juniper students to always show their BEST behavior.  Our behavior motto is- “BE Safe, BE Responsible, BE Respectful.

Parents, this year offers a new communication tool - the “Grading Parent Portal”.  With this tool, you can keep track of your child’s grades on a weekly basis.  (More information on the portal is available in our office.)  Also, you may stay involved with your child’s education by communicating with their teachers on a regular basis.  You may also wish to join our PTA, School Site Council, or our English Language Advisory Committee.

At Juniper our primary goal is, of course, the academic success of our students.  We have high academic standards and want each of our students to meet these standards.  Additionally, there are many other opportunities available to Juniper students.  Among the programs we offer are theater, leadership, band, and AVID.  We also have incentive programs, PTSA activities, dances, and noon-time activities.  Students, we encourage you to participate in these or any other activities we offer. The more involved you are, the more you will enjoy your time in intermediate school.
