Welcome back to the 2014/2015 school year. I am looking toward having a great school year here at Golden Poppy as the full time Assistant Principal.
I would like to take this time to introduce myself. Growing up in Los Angeles in a family with 12 siblings, education was always stressed as important to become successful. I received both my Bachelors Degree and Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy from California State University of Northridge. I have been working in education for 20 years, the last 14 years as a teacher. I have taught in elementary schools Pre-K to 6th grade, teaching students in both General Education and in Special Education. I have lived in the Antelope Valley for four years with my husband and our three children, where we enjoy spending time horseback riding, and tending to our horses, goats, chickens and dogs.
I am looking forward to meeting the students and working together with the parents, staff, and the community of Golden Poppy. Please feel free to stop by my office to introduce yourself.
Have a great 2014/ 2015 School Year!!!
