Welcome to the Palmdale School District and its website. I am proud to call the Antelope Valley home for the past twenty-six years and to have served in this district for the past twenty-two years. I began my career in education as a substitute teacher and now honored to serve as your Superintendent for a sixth year.

I am currently a President-Elect of Kiwanis Palmdale West. I also serve on the Board of Directors for Untied Way of Los Angeles – Antelope Valley as well as the United Way Greater Los Angeles Corporate Board, and on the Board of Directors for the School Employers Association of California.

Palmdale School District serves the community by providing a quality educational experience to over 22,000 students from pre-school through 8^th grade. We have 24 schools and over 3,000 employees who all share the goal of launching a lifetime of learning through a focus on quality standards-based instruction.

Our highly qualified teaching and support staff work diligently to see that every child receives an equitable education. Our schools and workplaces are a safe and healthy environment for learning.

Palmdale School District also believes in providing choices to our parents. We currently offer the following schools of choice:

·         Los Amigos Dual Immersion School

·         Dos Caminos Dual Immersion School

·         Palmdale Learning Plaza, a K-8 International Baccalaureate School

·         AVID Academy at Summerwind, a College Preparatory Intermediate School
