I am honored and feel very privileged to be the Principal of Buena Vista Elementary. My passion for education and the success of all students will always guide every decision I make. I am always excited and look forward to working with our students, staff and parents to make Buena Vista Elementary the best school it can be. I will seek to ensure the success of each student and school by providing the best educational and extracurricular opportunities possible. Similarly, it is my number one priority at Buena Vista Elementary that every student receives a well-rounded education.

I hope your summer has been filled with exciting family activities and enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Our summer is coming to a close and now our thoughts eagerly turn to the beginning of another dynamic year. The Buena Vista faculty and staff are excited to work with you as we provide high quality, rigorous, challenging and relevant instruction for your children. Buena Vista Elementary staff members seek to empower students to develop a passion for lifelong learning and nurture them by engaging their intellect, emotions and natural curiosity. Our daily work together includes creating a safe and supportive environment in which all learners can pursue academic and social learning experiences and fulfill their unique potentials.

You are a huge part of the Buena Vista Elementary success. Parent involvement increases student achievement and enriches the school community. Please feel free to regularly volunteer inside/outside our classrooms. By doing so, you are providing valued attention to students, teachers, and the school community. As we build upon existing relationships and forge new ones, let us collaboratively support the social, emotional and academic well-being of each child at Buena Vista Elementary. Through this teaming effort, we will make extraordinary progress for all.

We truly have a fantastic school with a supportive and involved parent community, dedicated and highly skillful staff, and the most fantastic students to work with. I am incredibly excited about beginning the 2022-2023 school year and feel extremely fortunate to be a part of the Buena Vista community to serve as your new Assistant Principal. I am committed to being a servant leader who cultivates other leaders through team efforts to promote a safe environment where students and teachers are valued and supported to grow. As a lifelong learner, I believe that it is crucial to build a growth mindset in our students so that they are consistently working on being the best versions of themselves. I will work alongside Dr. Conteh to continue to provide a structure of collaborative relationships in the school and community so that all students have a variety of opportunities to succeed.
