Hello Chaparral Families!
It is with great honor to continue here at Chaparral Prep Academy as the school Principal. I have spent the past 18 years of my educational career serving as a teacher, Administrative Intern, Assistant Principal, and now Principal within the Palmdale School District. When I was a child, I observed my mother in her educational career within Los Angeles schools, and for years, I assisted her in the classroom, as well as volunteered for school events. As a result of my experiences, I realized how essential and valuable it was to develop academic excellence for students and build a strong and engaged community for schools to be most successful.
With a warm and welcoming atmosphere and dedicated teachers, Chaparral Prep Academy is committed to academic excellence and building relationships. Together with our families and our community, the staff and students of Chaparral work towards educational, personal, and social goals. Parents are strongly encouraged to volunteer and get involved with our school functions as it demonstrates to their children that they value their school and education. Chaparral has an amazing community of engaged families in our after-school programs, PTA, fundraisers, school events, and festivities.
Chaparral Prep Academy has been modernized within our classrooms and learning environments to maximize our Project Based Learning instruction for students. This collaborative environment provides rigorous and engaging learning experiences for all of our Bobcat students at Chaparral and helps them get prepared for the Magnet Programs within our Palmdale School District middle schools.
I am so excited to be your Principal this year and looking forward to another year with Chaparral’s wonderful community. Go Bobcats!

Hello Bobcat Family!
I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the Assistant Principal here at Chaparral Prep Academy.
To be brief, as a husband, a father of five children, and a life-long learner who has worked in education, in three different states, over the past thirteen years, I have come to appreciate the value of good quality education and the importance of building relationships of trust. My goal in working with the Chaparral Community is to get to know everyone personally while dedicating my time, effort, and expertise to help our staff and students reach their full potential.
If I had to sum up my personal and professional life in six phrases, they would be:
● Believe there is good in the world
● Be the good in the world
● Focus on strengths
● Assume good intentions
● See a need; fill a need
● Work hard; play hard
I look forward to getting to know and working with all of you.
