Welcome to Palm Tree Elementary, an O.A.S.I.S. of Education!
I am excited to join the Palm Tree family as the school principal for the 2020-21 school year and look forward to working with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success.
This is my 31st year in education and 6th year as an administrator for Palmdale. I taught for 17 years before serving in several instructional support roles from coaching to coordinator. My educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration with an emphasis in School Leadership. The importance of school and education was greatly influenced by my grandmother who taught me the dignity of work and whose motivation enabled me to move forward to and through college and beyond.
Along with staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established at Palm Tree by building strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners. I anticipate a most successful year as my team and I support the academic, social, and emotional growth of your child here at Palm Tree Elementary School.

Hello Palm Tree Families!
My name is Annie Kim. It is with great excitement to join Palm Tree Elementary School as Assistant Principal for 2022 - 2023 School year! I am committed to working alongside Principal Cervantes in helping and supporting all school and community members of Palm Tree Elementary School. I look forward to building meaningful and collaborative relationships to enrich students’ daily learning experiences.
This school year will be my 15th year in education. I am a New Jersey native with 14 years of experience as an elementary education teacher, special education teacher and instructional coach. I currently hold Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary/Special Education dual program with liberal arts background in History. I also obtained Master of Arts in Educational Technology and Master of Arts in Educational Leadership.
As we dive into this year, I look forward to the journey and professional growth I will be experiencing as an assistant principal at Palm Tree Elementary School. Together, I hope to continuously empower our students and celebrate all of their successes and accomplishments!
