La NeShae Norwood
-
My name is La NeShae Norwood. I’m the new School Counselor at Palmdale Learning Plaza (PLP). I have over 20 years of experience working with children/youth, families, educational institutions, and various community stakeholders. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Social Work and a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Social
Work.
As the School Counselor, I work diligently to identify the academic and social-emotional needs of ALL students; provide necessary interventions to assist in the removal of barriers to learning; help students develop skills and behaviors critical to achieving success both in and outside of school; and encourage and facilitate college/career readiness. Throughout the 2022-2023 school year, I will provide classroom lessons to ALL students, small groups, brief individual counseling, and facilitate various activities/events.
