Migrant Education Program of the Antelope Valley
The Palmdale School District is one of 9 school districts that belong to the Antelope Valley Migrant Education Supplemental Educational Program. Any family who has worked a season in agricultural activities such as fishing, dairy, forestry, or feeding farm animals or livestock may qualify for the following services:
For children (grades Pre-k -12 grade) ages 3-21.
• Saturday School STEAM Academy( Science Technology Engineering Art Math)
• Summer School
• Educational Field Trips
• School Readiness Programs for 3-4 year old
• Regional College Residency Programs
• Regional Summer Institutes
• Regional Speech and Debate Tournaments
Additional Services Include:
• Emergency Dental and Vision Health Referrals
• Emergency Food/Clothing Referrals
• Out of School Youth Guidance
• Annual Holiday Toy Drive
Breakfast, lunch, and transportation are provided. Parents and guardians are encouraged to participate in the available adult workshops and classes:
• GED- High School Equivalency Program
• Computer Classes
• Mental Health Workshops
• FASFA and College Planning Sessions
There is no cost to participate in The Migrant Education Program. Services are provided at:
