Dr. Stacy Williamson

    Manzanita Families,

I want to say hello and welcome you all to another exciting school year! It is an honor to serve as your Assistant Principal. For those of you who do not know me, my name is Dr. Stacy Williamson. Prior to coming to Manzanita, I was an Assistant Principal at Barrel Springs, Learning Support Teacher (LST) at the both the district office and school site, as well as, an elementary school teacher. Even though I have left the classroom as a teacher, I still view myself as an educator for all students. As a dedicated, resourceful, and innovative educator, I strive to establish an atmosphere built on trust and rapport so that students will be engaged and motivated to reach their potential.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts degree in Education, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from California State University Northridge.

Here at Manzanita, we embrace the Palmdale promise and believe that all students can learn.  Our main goal is to work collaboratively with one another to ensure that all students feel safe and welcome. As a school site administrator it is my desire to foster critical thinking and facilitate the acquisition of life-long learning skills in all of our students.  It is my belief that all students, with the help of the right tools and innovative strategies, have the ability to learn.  It is my desire to make a positive difference in the lives of all of our students and help them recognize the value education as both enjoyable and worthwhile.
