ClassLink Chromebook Login Issue

05/21/2026 12:45 PM - ClassLink Chromebook Login Issue (Investigating) Some students are encountering a red "Response Status: 417, Failed to reset password" error when logging into Chromebooks via ClassLink. This is a backend directory sync conflict, not a user error. Tech Services is actively rebuilding group assignments to deploy a permanent fix.

  • Temporary Workaround: Ensure new passwords are at least 8 characters long. If the error occurs twice, please submit a Help Desk ticket with the student’s Name and ID so we can clear the account conflict manually on the backend.
