Assistance Principal
Dear Students, Parents, and Staff,
I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome to each of you as we embark on a new school year together. My name is Steve Rodriguez and I am one of the new Assistant Principals at the Palmdale School District.
As your Assistant Principal, I am dedicated to ensuring that every student has the best educational experience possible. My mission is to foster an environment where curiosity thrives, and each student feels empowered to reach their full potential.
Creating a safe and supportive learning environment is my top priority. Every student deserves to feel secure and valued within our school community, and I am committed to upholding a space where respect, kindness, and collaboration are at the forefront of our interactions.
My goal is to cultivate a positive school culture where expectations are clear and accountability is fostered. I believe that a strong emphasis on discipline helps build character, responsibility, and respect, which are essential for personal and academic growth.
I invite all parents and guardians to join me on this mission! Together, let’s make this school year a remarkable one filled with learning, growth, and achievement. I am excited to work alongside you to create an enriching and safe environment for all.
A little bit about me:
- I have been in education since 2018: I have served as an English and Psychology teacher; an Ed. Tech. Coach; Humanities Department Chair; and as competitive dance coach.
- I attended the University of Califonria–Riverside for my undergraduate studies; I attended the University of Phoenix for my Master of Arts in Secondary Education; and I also attended Concordia University–Irvine for my Master of Arts in Educational Leadership.
- Outside of work, I enjoy the outdoors. I am a foodie, so I enjoy trying new foods and visiting coffee shops in the community.
In all, I am excited to serve you all in the Palmdale School District.
Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!
Warm regards,
Steve Rodriguez,
Assistant Principal, David G. Millen
